Meals on Wheels Community Cultural Connections DEI Series

Join Us for the MOT Rotary Club Community Cultural Connection DEI Series! We are excited to announce that Cecilia Goebel DeFazio, a long-time member, Paul Harris recipient, and past president of the MOT Rotary Club, will be presenting on September 25, 2024. Cecilia will share how the MOT Rotary Club became involved in the Meals on Wheels program, which is now operated by the MOT Senior Center, where she serves as Executive Director. This program not only highlights the importance of supporting our community’s seniors but also allows us to learn and practice diversity, equity, and inclusion by serving individuals from all walks of life. By coming together and volunteering for programs like Meals on Wheels, we embrace the true spirit of Service Above Self ensuring everyone in our community feels seen, valued, and supported. This is our second DEI presentation initiative—keep an eye on the calendar as we continue to add more community-based presentations! Festival of Lights Diwali Community Cultural Connections DEI series

We are thrilled to announce that Sital Soni-Dubois the first woman president of the Middletown Area Chamber of Commerce, a successful business owner, and a passionate advocate for DEI in business, will be presenting the Diwali Festival of Lights as part of our Community Cultural Connections DE series for the MOT Rotary Club. The event will be held on October 9, 2024, at the Appoquinimink Library 12 noon
Sital will share insights into her background and culture, offering a deeper understanding of the significance of Diwali. She will also be bringing delicious desserts to accompany her presentation. Light refreshments will be served.
